Dreamers

from Can I Be Excused by Superlative

/

about

Dreamers is a revelation.
Superlative reflects on the positive changes.
As he begins to realise he strengths and weaknesses, it also reflects on his circle.
Cutting out all of the bad energy from the roots makes for a stronger growth.
Whilst attempting to take away the glorification of 'road' activities he sheds a light on the benefits of staying persistent and positive in your environment.
Jake Parker and Joey Bricks did a number on bringing this to life.
It really feels like a breath of fresh air.

Dreamers was also featured on BBC 1xtra’s as Introducing Track of The Week

lyrics

[CHORUS]
Hoping for a dream in the backseat
Running for your team shotting mad weed
This is what I deem to be average
Running with my team staying active
These days I've been feeling free from the actors
Puffin on that green for the madness
This is not a scene for the boys
This is for team and the famdem
Look

[VERSE]
As I grow
Started to flow sicker than 'em
My sounds iller, they starting to show bitterness
It's too deep
I'm too real they're too weak
We lose touch
They're too fake
Confused me
I might judge
But my judgement's usually right
Just not my time to get loud
There's plenty more time to get down
I've been up late
Penning my rhymes to send round
Any updates
Looking to blow the past
Cuz I've been fucked mate
Looking for hope and that
And it's a luck game
That's what they told me, nah
I'm on the up mate
Nothing can hold me back
I've been on this path too long
Hunting for quick graft
Too wrong
Wonder where the piffs stacked
Zoots on
This man's too gone
Running from the stick like glue don's
Only way to win, I choose one

It's all better
We've never been named lesser
But that was aim
Blessings to every day
(Ah)
Attain regular
Effortless
Came peppered and settled the game
Left with nothing but change ups
I'm not cocky with it
I let my bars do the talking
Relax your arms, not a war ting
This is the part where walk in
Looking for mic check
If needs must get the aux in
I've got ravers in
Play the ting
Leme duppy every wave they bring
Spray the lingo
I made change within
Made riddims
Semi buggin on the haze
Cuz drink ain't my thing no
We got better with it
Came through the dirt with a grey shirt
Looking like we changed this weather
Cuz the pain hurt, but it never swayed this message
Fame lurks, but it's not same they're

[CHORUS]

[SPOKEN]
Hoping for a dream in the backseat
Running for your team shotting mad weed
This is what I deem to be average
Running with my team staying active
These days I've been feeling free from the actors
Puffin on that green for the madness
This is not a scene for the boys
This is for team and the famdem

about

Superlative Bolton, UK

Coming out of Bolton, Superlative is a fine example of an
artist ahead of his time. If you appreciate the bounce and complexity of modern trap-inspired
beats but never fell out of love with that golden-age hip-hop production style, then you’ve
been missing out on Superlative. His raw, eager flow and relatable bars create an aura of
humility and honesty around his outputs.
