Stereotypes

from Can I Be Excused by Superlative

/

about

Stereotypes is almost like a side story in a series.
It starts with the same message "No Changes" ends with.
"Grinding, don't trust the road."
The song harbours the same sonic qualities, but this time is paired with an upbeat groove.
The overall vibe is that of a confident steez.
Superlative is highlighting all of the qualities in his peers that have got them to where they are
and openly acknowledging that it won't be the path to his own success.

lyrics

(Intro x2)
Grinding, don't trust the road
I said I'm grinding
Don't trust the road.

[Chorus]
I love these slow types
Suttin from the soul types
struggle from the home
But the home's got it's own vibe
Looking like it's on right
I might switch up the game and shower
Wisdom is what I speak as if this is my only hour

Slow types
Suttin from the soul types
struggle from the home
But the home's got it's own vibe
Looking like it's on right
I might switch up the game and shower
Picture me sitting differently, living like this ours

[Verse]
I could
Be fine dining
Wine and a white line on my side
Cuz my names shining
Ride with the dope type
And display all my faux diamonds
Hustle's openly greeted
Keeping 'em on the edge of their seats
Like I fit the streets
But my dream is so far similar
living large is perimeter based
And if you consider accomplishments
On a scale they can change.

Cuz that's an image in it's self
And if they're really feeling it
Then there's no limit to this wealth

My hustle went unnoticed
From the depths of my stoned
I constructed my own token
Parted ways with the jokes
And got in while the vibes open
Spinning the lines woven like
Wintery times
Chosen, I think this is my focus
My limit is sky broken
Lyrically I'm woke
And If live by road
The vision has spiralled

It's like a message to myself
And if they're really feeling me
Then I don't really need much else

[Chorus]
I love these slow types
Suttin from the soul types
struggle from the home
But the home's got it's own vibe
Looking like it's on right
I might switch up the game and shower
Wisdom is what I speak as if this is my only hour

Slow types
Suttin from the soul types
struggle from the home
But the home's got it's own vibe
Looking like it's on right
I might switch up the game and shower
Picture me sitting differently, living like this ours

(Outro x2)
Grinding, don't trust the road
I said I'm grinding
Don't trust the road.
